Be Mine Kit by PattyB Designs at Wilma4Ever

I've been as busy as a beaver the last few days and have done two layouts and two clusters with Patty's kit. You can find her kit at the Wilma4Ever store found here.

Here's the first layout (one of my favorites!) This one was also done for the January sketch challenge at Wilma4Ever.

Busy and Inspired

We're starting a new thing at Faithfully Yours. It's called Topical Tuesday. I know I'm a little ahead of myself here by posting this (you will be able to see the topic a little early!)
I actually did this layout a while ago, like as soon as I found out the topic.

Then this week my devotions (In Touch by Charles Stanley) really made me think about my word for the year "listen" and how I go about listening to God.

Here's the two-page layout:

You can check out the Topical Tuesday information on Tuesday at the Faithfully Yours Blog.

And I'm going to do another post in a little while with some more layouts from this weekend.
Hoping your Sunday has been filled with the love of God!

GBBC - Great Backyard Bird Count 2013

For all you birders out there the GBBC is going to be February 15-18. We did this last year & it was great fun to stop the winter doldrums! You don't have to count every day and you can do it for 15 minutes or for hours at a time.

For more information you can check it out here:.

Listen

The One Word Challenge is a popular thing taking place for the thrid year. This year I have chosen the word "Listen".
I created this LO to keep me remembering my word:

There are so many ways to "Listen" and one of them is being alert to nature. This week we have noticed quite of few unusual things in nature. Keeping in mind that it is the first week in January & winter is just getting a good start in our area, we have spotted robins & eastern bluebirds in our backyard. Then late this afternoon, our dog started acting weird, like she does when it's getting ready to storm. I'm not saying that God is speaking to me of spring, but I'm praying for wisdom in knowing what this all means & if this is what I'm supposed to be listing to from God.
I'm not sure if this makes any sense to you -- I'm not sure it makes any sense to me either! But I'm listening!

And a little ad for Faithfully Yours -- for this layout I used Dawn's kit Praise Today & Faith Pockets found at the Faithfully Yours website for both paper scrapping & digital scrapping.

Wilma4Ever's Aged to Perfection Kit

I got a new kit to work with this week & started a series on our grandparents. These first two layouts are of Dave's paternal grandparents using Wilma's Aged to Perfection kit found here:

First I did Grandpa Bricker's page using a photo of the wagon train Nebraska to Indiana in the late 1980s.
