Web of Faith

Today Pastor Jean started a series of sermons on Spiritual Gifts. Fits right in to our study on Spiritual Gifts. Fits right in to the class I took in April at goDigitalScrapbooking.com - My Life, My Faith. And today was a very inspiring sermon. I came right home and created this layout so I could get it in my brain and remember what she had to say!

Melissa,
I was just looking at my blog comments (I didn't even realize they were there)
Here's the journaling on the LO above:
As a Christian we all receive at least one Spiritual Gift from God, many have more than one. These are activated by God, but it is up to us to discern what our gifts are and to put them to use to further God’s kingdom. When we work together, our gifts are strengthened and so is God’s kingdom.
We need to weave ourselve into
a community like a spiderweb with it’s intricate design; with it’s links that are tightly woven. And, like the spider, we need to know when something tugs at our web. We need to be aware of those in our network who are hurting or celebrating or need help or need prayers or simply need a friend. We need to work together as a community of believers. It is also our job to reach out beyond our community to touch others who may not know Christ and the peace that He gives. And we need to model ourselves after Christ into someone who loves and cares for all who travel down the roads that crosses our path, even if it’s for a short while.
